Just My Luck

Yeah, so, my computer broke. Yay me. Anyways, sent it in to the service center to get it fixed so it won't be back for a few weeks and all of my everything is on it which kind of sucks when you realize all your material is on a device that won't turn on. Pooey. Oh well, hope for the best I guess. Thought I should let people know in case you're wondering how the writings going. So, not well, and now you know. None the less, it won't deter me, and hopefully I'll be back at in a short while.
The Fourth of July is coming, so that's exciting, until next time...

Keeping it Real

Riddle: What goes up and down at the same time?

Think about it... It's really clever.

It's not air. Nope. Guess again. Water? Good point, but not the answer. Your love life? Hmmm...possibly. :) Okay okay, fine. The answer is.... Stairs.  It goes up and down at the same time. However, air, water, your relationship could suitably replace that answer, and I'll add one to the list: Writing. Yup, it seems to go up and down at the same time.

Today however, my writing life goes a little more up then down. I sent out 6 query letters and I'll do four by snail mail just to see how that goes. It should be interesting. I bet I'll get 9 out of 10 rejections. Oh, the life of a writer (ha, or an actor) because you're rejected much more so then accepted, and that's just the way it goes. But until I actually hear back, I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh, and this really heart felt super sad conversation between two characters popped up in my head last night and I just had to write it down because it was super dramatic and I just had to write it down before it disappeared. I will admit it goes to another series entirely, and so hopefully one day you guys will know soon enough.

Until next time, have some happy days  :)

What can you catch but can't throw?

A cold of course! Heard that one and it amused me, so I thought I'd it to start off my post. True to my word I've never stopped writing, I've got some query letters I'll soon be mailing, I've moved, started a new job, signed up for college, took some clep tests (still need to do two more but they're fairly easy, so...) and now I'll soon begin finishing the last part of my third book.

I have the plot line all planned out of course. And you want to know what's even greater? I bought this software called Dragon and its freaking great. Sometimes the daunting part of writing is the actual writing. Sometimes you love every word you write across the page and sometimes you just want to get it over with. But with this Dragon, all I have to do is talk and it'll write everything I say. What a time saver!

And guess what's even better!? Don't you hate it when you write on paper and then you have to retype all that  onto the computer. It's just a little redundant, but when all I have to do is simply speak, it's so refreshing, because then I can move on to the next part.

So I"m excited to be back, and talking, and sharing, and writing. Until next time...

BTW.... thought of a really crazy awesome series I should write after this one, but I have so many I don't know which order I should go in. Writer problems  :(   :)

Dipsy Daisy

Ok, I have no idea why I'm posting this as dipsy daisy, but I feel a little dipsy or something. Just so you guys know, I'm going on a hiatus, thought you should know if you stumble upon this post. I have a lot of upcoming stuff in the next few weeks I need to focus on, so if you don't see another post for a month or two, that will be why. I'll still write, can't keep me from doing that, but I probably won't get that much done on my book anyways.
Hmmm, maybe instead I'll try contacting some literary agents during this next few weeks instead and see how that goes.
Best of luck then :)

I feel like...

I feel like I've been at the slowest crawl ever, but not really crawling, I mean metaphorically, with my writing. I will note I added in an extra chapter, but I felt like it was kind of needed for a transition, so it sort of tripped me up but kept me on track at the same time. Ain't that life for ya? But as for my writing endeavors, it can feel like such a long journey, but I'm just going to keep going like the little engine that could. Can't wait to finish. :)

It's Next Time

It's been what, over ten days now. I could have sworn it was only a week, but sometimes the amount of time that has gone by can really surprise you. I didn't get nearly so much done, but the awesome news? I'm a third of the way there. Yes, it feels like such a good marker, a whole third of the way. I now, it still means two more thirds to go, but I'm looking at this like the glass is half full kind of gal, so, I'll keep cheering myself on, because I'm going to finish this next hopefully before my birthday.

Yay! New Post!

I don't know why, but I suddenly just found myself excited to write this. It's probably going to be pretty brief (which, speaking of brief, why do they call it a briefcase if they carry it around all day? Just wondering...) but the good news is I'm a fourth of the way through my third book now. Wahoo!
Seriously, it feels really good when you reach a marker goal and I can't wait to reach the next one. And I"m pretty excited to write this next segment because all this crazy crap, and  different people and events start happening, and once it unfolds even more crazy crap starts happening and it all comes together one by one.
Oh yeah, spent yesterday rearranging all this crazy crap so it would make sense and happen in order. I did a little rethinking about how I wanted it to play out and thank goodness I've figured it out. Like every single chapter I basically rearranged. I haven't written those chapters yet, but I mean, the outlines for those chapters I moved around.
Now, I've got to kick myself in the butt to hurry this story up, so until next time.... :)

Ups and Downs of Writing

Yeah, so, I'm a sixth of the way through this book now. And I got a few good extra thousand words done now, I'm just a little disappointed because I wanted to write so much more this week, but of course it didn't happen. Anyways, I can't think about that now. I just want to look forward again and not so much think about the writing goal so much as actually just enjoying writing the next chapter.
Lesson for the week: don't get caught up in your head. Just enjoy the actual writing.
I think a lot of people forget this (it doesn't have to be just writing, it could be anything really).

It's Been Six Days Till This Next Hey

Basically it's almost been another week again, but I am here to report I've gotten another 1600 hundred words or so done, and I am almost an eighth of the way through this book.
I know, I am still a ways away, but I'll get to shore eventually. I promise I'm am not drowning out at sea with this next book, I'm just taking my time. And so far it's been fairly smooth sailing. I've just got to keep rowing and I'll get there.
So yeah, some nice metaphors for you guys. Until next time....
