Keeping it Real

Riddle: What goes up and down at the same time?

Think about it... It's really clever.

It's not air. Nope. Guess again. Water? Good point, but not the answer. Your love life? Hmmm...possibly. :) Okay okay, fine. The answer is.... Stairs.  It goes up and down at the same time. However, air, water, your relationship could suitably replace that answer, and I'll add one to the list: Writing. Yup, it seems to go up and down at the same time.

Today however, my writing life goes a little more up then down. I sent out 6 query letters and I'll do four by snail mail just to see how that goes. It should be interesting. I bet I'll get 9 out of 10 rejections. Oh, the life of a writer (ha, or an actor) because you're rejected much more so then accepted, and that's just the way it goes. But until I actually hear back, I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh, and this really heart felt super sad conversation between two characters popped up in my head last night and I just had to write it down because it was super dramatic and I just had to write it down before it disappeared. I will admit it goes to another series entirely, and so hopefully one day you guys will know soon enough.

Until next time, have some happy days  :)

What can you catch but can't throw?

A cold of course! Heard that one and it amused me, so I thought I'd it to start off my post. True to my word I've never stopped writing, I've got some query letters I'll soon be mailing, I've moved, started a new job, signed up for college, took some clep tests (still need to do two more but they're fairly easy, so...) and now I'll soon begin finishing the last part of my third book.

I have the plot line all planned out of course. And you want to know what's even greater? I bought this software called Dragon and its freaking great. Sometimes the daunting part of writing is the actual writing. Sometimes you love every word you write across the page and sometimes you just want to get it over with. But with this Dragon, all I have to do is talk and it'll write everything I say. What a time saver!

And guess what's even better!? Don't you hate it when you write on paper and then you have to retype all that  onto the computer. It's just a little redundant, but when all I have to do is simply speak, it's so refreshing, because then I can move on to the next part.

So I"m excited to be back, and talking, and sharing, and writing. Until next time...

BTW.... thought of a really crazy awesome series I should write after this one, but I have so many I don't know which order I should go in. Writer problems  :(   :)
