Art

Art is everywhere and anything!!! :)

I've got a ton of art I can't wait to exhibit. Sometimes it's the little things :)

There's nothing like Ice Cream Cone Art. Share if you like!

It's slightly blurry, yes, but with the above shot too, if you haven't figured it out, I've sculpted a face with an eye and nose :)

These are some pics of my cake I made for Dance class. Dance class is seriously the bomb, so I made a totally bomb completely homemade cake from scratch! Even the fondant too! I made it just before winter  break and brought it to school that morning. It literally took me ten and a half hours, and it would have taken longer had not my amazing siblings helped! Oh wait, I'm not even counting the hours I put into to finding recipes, looking up how to videos, planning, plotting, shopping for ingredients, etc.

I have a new found respect for all chefs and bakers alike now :)    Share if you think my cake was pretty cool :)

My dance teacher likes to call us monsters (in a nice way). Hence, I made little chocolate cake balls all around the edges with little faces (thanks Brittney for the help!) Truth be told, I made the chocolate cake first. I failed at getting it out of the pan. It crumbled to pieces to my misfortune and frustration (tears :( :( :(   ). Instead, a brilliant resolution, use the crumbled chocolate cake for monster faces and double the vanilla cake recipe to make the cake large enough like originally planned! All worked out well!

here's a better picture. The doll represents my dance teacher while, again, the heads are us students :)

Kind of hard to see...but it's the chocolate I melted down and added to the mix to make my chocolate cake. In a way it's abstract art! Or a ink block test depending on how you look at it :) :) :) Still, it looks like art to me!

Marshmallows  and Marshmallows melted

Sugar can be turned into some pretty cool stuff after heated!

Melted marshmallows twirled/squished/mashed into fondant! After I added the pink dye. It's looks like a bumpy landscape! Art!

Ha, looks like my hands are severely burned and blistered or something! Fear not!!! It was just that pink dye and all my kneading!!!
See, my hands are alright :) LOL

Photography! It's art. This was taken December 23, 2012 (last year) on a Sunday. It's of a pretty sunset on a good day out with the family.  If you like the pic, just smile. I won't ever know, but you'll know :)  And if you smile, well, then I've touched you, made a mark, and made you smile! Pretty cool!

Aahhh....more Ice Cream Cone Art. Tops of two together :)
This one's the two together with only one arm or something bizarre like.

But again, an Ice Cream Sculptor!!!    Sorry, don't know what day these were taken, but a few weeks ago....

Hey, also, this is my little sister Emily! Cutie pie isn't she? Oh, and now there's two arms to this added sculptor that was soon devoured!!! Yum :)

Abstract has always come easy to me. In fact, in my painting class, I'll be showing the other students some of my abstract art from my sketchbook! Pretty excited, kind of nervous :) :) :)
Anyways, abstracts always come easy.     I think I have synthesia? It's where senses mix in a way. Like, you hear sound, and then you see shapes/images. There's also like word to taste, or word to color, there's a whole bunch of different forms. Mine's mostly sound (music mostly) to fairly simple shapes and colors.

However, a lot of times my sketches/painting I purposefully throw in something easy for other people to understand. Like the yin and yang symbol below. This was one of my sketches, I painted it onto a canvas with oil paint. (It took like a whole week to dry! That's forever in my world! I finished a few days ago). The first one is the painting from my sketchbook, the next two are shots of the oil canvas. And the  last one is of both of them side my side. It's slightly changes with the whirlies and jagged  edges. I guess I like to make every piece an original with it's own unique flare!
:) :) :)

Anyways, got a ton more art to put on, abstract or not. Hey, also, I think I get my sound to sight thing from my dad or something (just guessing). Also, blues are feelings. Usually between happy, calm, sad, and a mix of those together. Just it. Purples, reds, pinks, sometimes green, yellow and hair is taste. (Something bitter, pomegranate, grape juice. Reds/ pinks depends-sometimes cherry, cinnamon, sour, pink lemonade, grape fruit, peppermint (don't like). Greens are like limes. With paint made a yellow that was Lucky Charms. Also, when I see shades of yellows, they're just like something sweet or something. It's a bit like my blue color thing. Yellow is good, calming, fuzzy warm. Also, sometimes I identify people as yellow (meaning welcoming). Also, sometimes blond hair is like sand but still warm, burgundy hair color is bitter (but I still actually like the color) or sometimes I get odd impressions of people's hair being smore like :)
Anyways, probably a bit weird, but that's just natural and normal to me. I like it anyways. Always interesting.  For some reason a lot of darker colors I don't have tastes for, hence why figuring out darker hair color tastes is more difficult, it's the bright colors that pop out more.
:) :) :)

Post something if you want too!
